The Col du Mont Verdun is a south facing hairpin climb starting at Limonest in the Mont d'Or range to the north-west of Lyon. The road is around 6% climbing 170 meters over some 3km with a couple of steeper ramps. It is closed at Weekends during the summer although there still steem to be quite a few cars using the road. It is idea for a bit of climbing. There is a fairly direct track back down just to the side of the clay pigeon area.
