I'd been a bit ill so had done no sport for a couple of weeks. Back in Lyon I decided to get the rollerskis out and go for a tour. First of all heading up to the Parc de la Tete d'Or where it was just starting to get busy with runners at 8am.
Then over the Rhone de Tassigny bridge and through the long tunnel "Modes Doux" under Carrouge to the Saone river. From here I headed down the cycle path on the right bank of the Saone river.
Through the city center and shopping district including Place Bellecourt
and right down the river again to the Confluence where Soane and Rhone meet
From here it was a 6km easy skate up the left bank of the Rhone to my starting point. Around 25km completed according to my GPS or a bit less if you trust Strava. The route doesn't have too many difficulties apart from the expansion joints on the various bridges and broken glass in the city center.
